RBI Adds Video to Web site

Click to Play Video!

We have just added a new video to our website that provides a brief overview of the RBI Bearing Group!

The five minute video highlights our locations, products, capabilities and company culture. You will also see our newest factory in Wuxi that started producing products in May 2007.

Our 450,000 sq ft facility will enhance RBI's ability to offer machined parts to our customers as our machine shop operation is capable of producing CNC machined parts and components. This value added service has received an enthusiastic welcome from our OEM side of the business.

If you are looking for a way to reduce costs on machined parts that are currently produced state-side, please contact Hank Aleliunas about any interest in quoting a part produced at RBI's New state of the art factory.

Saturday marked China 's first large-scale participation in "Car Free Day" activities. The number of cars on the roads dropped noticeably on the day in most of the 108 participating cities across China . Look closely - there is one accident already and 4 more waiting to happen on the right.

How are bearing ring chamfers specified?
by Mike Mortensen - Director of Engineering RBI-USA

There are two common methods of specifying bearing chamfers. One method is in terms of a minimum radius. The second method is in terms of a linear dimension in both the axial (through the bore) and radial (along the bearing face) direction. These linear dimensions may be accompanied by tolerances that specify the minimum and maximum values.

Figure 1 demonstrates the different ways in which chamfers are specified on drawings.
